TAKE 10! Youth Program

FIT, FUN &
HEALTHY

Obesity affects an alarming number of Americans and increases the risk of other chronic health problems, such as diabetes or heart disease.

With childhood obesity increasing both
locally and nationally, TAKE 10!® instills healthy lifestyle choices in youth. It is a
classroom-based physical activity program
for kindergarten to fifth grade students:

• Integrates academic learning objectives (language arts, math, social studies,
science and health) with movement.

• Offers safe and age-appropriate 10-minute physical activities.

• Requires no special training or equipment.

• Provides a fun, innovative curriculum tool for teachers.

• Helps children meet recommended daily physical activity requirements.

• Develops healthy behaviors and generates academic enthusiasm.

• Promotes physical activity in children - in and out of school.

• Complements physical education and after-school activities.
