YMCA Community Services

The Community Services branch of the YMCA of Central Kentucky is the hub for the YMCA's efforts outside of our facility walls. To best serve our communities, the YMCA relies on partnerships and collaborations with 145 agencies and organizations throughout Fayette, Jessamine and Scott Counties. For instance, the Y partners with several local reading and literacy initiatives and, in 2008, distributed 8,307 free books to children in our community through those collaborations.

From teaching aquatic safety at neighborhood pools to partnering with local officials on workplace safety workshops to supporting local arts, the YMCA and its partners are at the forefront of dozens of efforts to better the community.
