Kid’s Corner Staff

Kid’s Corner will supervise children ages 6 weeks to 9 years old. Staff will implement developmentally appropriate activities ensuring the children’s safety. Must be at least 16 years of age. Must have the ability to work well and build friendly, positive relationships with children and adults. Must have strong problem solving skills and be able to act on own initiative following YMCAS policies and procedures.

Part-time

Lifeguard

Certified individual needed to ensure safety of patrons in aquatic environment. Life Guarding, routine maintenance duties and customer service duties included. Must be 16 years of age or older, be a certified Lifeguard, with First Aid and CPR for the Professional Rescuer. Position also requires excellent swimming skills plus a varied aquatic background.
Part-time (Day, night, & weekend shifts)
Pay: $8.27 per hour

Swim Instructor

Individual needed for direct leadership, instruction and motivation for students is swim lessons. The position is primarily responsible for teaching all levels of the YMCA swim lessons programs. Must be 16 years of age or older, current and valid, First Aid and CPR for the Professional Rescuer and a YMCA Lifeguard certification recommended. Certification of YMCA Swim Lesson Certification or W.S.I is preferred. Position also requires excellent swimming skills plus a varied aquatic background. Must be able to provide good public relations with children and adults.

Youth Sports Instructor

Responsible for officiating, leading and teaching youth sports games in a manner consistent with the parameters established by the YMCA. A sincere interest and enjoyment in working with and teaching youth the principles of this sport as well as the YMCA character development values. Must be knowledgeable in soccer, t-ball, baseball and or basketball.

Part-time (night and weekend shifts)

Pay: $7.81 per hour
