YMCA to Hold Senior Health and Well-Being Fair
As part of the YMCA’s commitment to encouraging healthy living, the YMCA of Central Kentucky is holding a Senior Health and Well-Being Fair. This event, which is free and open to all older adults, will be held at the Beaumont Centre Family YMCA on Wednesday, September 14 from 12-3 p.m.
The fair will feature free group exercise classes and dancing; vendors from all over the area; and presentations on healthy posture and cooking.
It's never too late to get started on developing or maintaining a healthy spirity, mind and body. The Y offers a variety of programs and classes designed specifically for the needs and enjoyment of our active older adults. These programs include group exercise appropriate for varying fitness levels as well as SilverSneakers programs. The Y also has social events such as luncheons, games and guest speakers to help seniors get connected to others in the community and gain exposure to other senior-oriented community services and programs.
