YMCA Open Water Swim at Cave Run August 14

On Saturday, August 14, the YMCA of Central Kentucky will coordinate an Open Water Swim at Cave Run. YMCA membership is not required to participate. The events will include swims of 1/2 mile, 1 mile and 1 1/2 miles. The cost is $30. Registration forms are available at any YMCA of Central Kentucky branch. YMCA AQUATICS

For the last 120 years, the YMCA has been recognized as the nation’s swim instructor, teaching safety and confidence in the water. With more then 2,200 pools, YMCAs are collectively the largest operator of swimming pools in the United States and the YMCA is committed to helping people of all ages learn basic swimming skills and water safety practices. In 2009, the YMCA of Central Kentucky helped over 8,900 area children learn such skills through the Splash program and swim lessons.
