Keith Ball Named Director of Capital Development for Jessamine County YMCA
Shana Peterson, chair of the Jessamine County YMCA Board of Managers, announced that Keith Ball will change roles from Executive Director of the Jessamine County YMCA to Director of Capital Development. This new role is in support of the YMCA of Central Kentucky’s 2010–2014 strategic plan and the priority placed on the development of the Jessamine County Family YMCA.
“As the Director of the Jessamine County YMCA, Keith Ball was instrumental in developing quality programs for our children and youth,” said Judge William Neal Cassity. “With his new venture in YMCA Capital Development, I am as confident that Keith will be successful in bringing about a long awaited goal of having a YMCA facility for the residents of Jessamine County.”
Effective immediately, the operational functions of the branch will shift to the program areas for maintenance and growth, and Keith will focus 100 percent of his time on capital endeavors to finance the Jessamine County YMCA facility.
"I am looking forward to the opportunity that is ahead,” Ball said. “To be able to focus exclusively on development has been a recent passion and I am very excited to get started."
As he sets up capital calls, engages volunteers on donor visits, completes prospect and donor management, and provides capital updates, Keith will continue to interact with the Jessamine County board and the community in making the facility dream a reality. Keith’s positive presence in the community helps ensure the success of this capital project.
Mayor of the city of Nicholasville, Russ Meyer said, “I am proud that Keith has been given the opportunity to focus on capital development in Jessamine County. I have worked with Keith on several projects and know that he will give his best in all he does.”
